Capt. John Slate welcomes you aboard! The St. Lawrence River located in the 1000 Islands is a hot spot for some of the best fishing in Upstate NY. From perch, monster muskies, pike, bass, walleye and more! The 1000 Islands has a rich heritage of being a playground for the rich and famous since the turn of the 20th century. The picturesque setting features over 1800 islands in the St. Lawrence Seaway Valley bordering Canada. Capt. John offers fishing trips to some of the best fishing spots in the Islands!
The 1000 Islands is located on the border of the United States and Canada. We are approximately 1.5 hours from Syracuse, we are roughly 2.5 hours from Rochester, and about 3.5 hours from Albany.
Please be sure to bring:
NY State fishing license
Your phone/camera to take pictures
Appropriate clothing for the weather
Sunglasses, hats, sunscreen
Lunch or snack – Unless you book a shore dinner with me!

Our half day charters include a fishing trip from 8am to noon and preparing your fish to take home.
